The DaVinci Splash
Is it important for your people to keep the big picture in mind as they work on their own team tasks? In this creative conference event, teams do have to literally keep the big picture in mind if they are to create a true masterpiece.
The objective is for groups of 24 to 36 people to create a large artwork. Each small team of 2 to 3 people are provided with a piece of the final image, which they must reproduce - bigger, true to design and colour, and able to join with the work of other teams to form the completed Masterpiece.
Art paper, crayons and other resources are provided, but the key to success is the communication between work teams to ensure that scale, size and colour are being co-ordinated so that the finished work presents as one.
This event initially appears simple, but its complexity soon becomes apparent. Intense activity and exceptional teamwork are needed to achieve a quality result in a tight time frame.
Images may be selected to represent products, logos, company values, or other themes, so that the artwork is relevant to the group. As an ongoing reminder of the conference the Masterpiece may even end up hanging proudly in the corporate office!
