Moonlight Robbery / Daylight Robbery

Based on elements of Mission Impossible, this event begins with a video briefing to the team. The briefing provides an overview of the exercise, which involves recovering stolen property.

Specialist training in smaller teams and then whole team information sharing and planning follow the briefing. The next phase of the recovery involves being lowered into an alarm protected vault and removing clues to the stolen property without setting off any alarms. The vault is entered from above, via a rope raising and lowering system. Beware the armed guard!

The first phase of this event is highly structured with information, training, planning, and time pressure focussing participants minds on retrieving the information from the vault.

Once the information is retrieved the exercise becomes open ended, unstructured and ambiguous. There is no clear objective, way forward or pressure to complete.

Following on from the adrenaline and focus of the first phase, the uncertainty provides a completely different challenge for individuals and the team. This is when the true challenge begins

The unique elements of working in silence, electronic sensors and alarms, aerial antics and achievement against the odds ensure the fun, frustrations and realisations are firmly anchored in the participants memory.
